Dear Readers,
To allow my fellow bears worldwide to read along, from now onwards my blog will be in english... Right now, the report from my trip to Paris.

So my first time to Paris. They chose to travel with the Thalys and I got my own seat in there, very comfortable in front of the window so I could look at the changing scenery. Oh my, this train drives fast..... in a few hours we are at Gare du Nord, on our way to the hotel. I like the room and the view I have from the window. I jumped on the bed to rest a little from the journey, I was so nervous the night before that I hardly slept at all. But since the lady's wanted to do something straight away on the first afternoon there I just had a very short nap before they took me to the metro station. It is so big and crowded and I find it very confusing, I am very glad that I am not traveling alone. Fortunately Cathalijn knows her way around here so in no time we are in front of the famous Sacre Coeur. Again very crowded since all the tourists want to see this church and standing on the steps I had a magnificent view on Paris. Even a glimpse of the famous Eiffeltower! Then I start to realize that I am really in Paris.......

It is rather cold at the end of the afternoon so I am glad I got my shawl to keep me warm. Inside the church we are not allowed to take pictures but I can tell you that everything inside is well preserved and beautiful.
Afterwards we visited a real french Cafe, to cold to sit outside now and I tried to drink Ricard, funny smell and it tastes a bit like liquorice, not to bad though I prefer my milk and honey.

The second day starts with breakfast in the hotel; thank God they have Honey for me and I tried pain au chocolat, very nice for a bear.
Then they took me to the Louvre, wow, this is big! I like being outside and to see the glass pyramid. Is that the Arc de Triomphe?? Oh no its not just part of this park.
And when we get inside there is so much to see, almost to much for one day as you can see on the pictures I have seen all this beautiful art with my own eyes now.
I am glad that they carry me around in a bag, my little legs would have worn off from all the walking. I feel very proud to be on the pictures with a Rembrandt and Frans Hals. Isn't it strange that, as a dutch bear, I have to travel to Paris to look at the famous dutch artists. Painting after painting and some sculptures in between are a joy for my little eyes. And then after a few hours there she is ........the painting all the tourists want to see; MONA.........!!!
A lot of japanese people in front of her but Klazina manages to take my picture with this most famous painting. I am overwhelmed with joy. Now I can tell all my blund-family that I have proof that I was really there.

After a walk in the parc we go to another museum: the Orangery, we do have to wait a long time in a row before we can enter. It was worth waiting for, Monet's waterlily's are breathtaking. And there are other famous paintings from Renoir and Cezanne, I find them absolutely stunning. So I peeped around in the museum-shop if I could find a nice book to take home. Outside they want me to climb on the statue from Rodin's Kiss, don't I look nice there.
Back in the hotel I am preparing for another day of long walks and have an early night.

This 3rd day we visit the dolls museum; musee de la poupee. I see a lot of antique dolls and even some friends there but I am not allowed to take pictures. It is quite small so we are finished quickly.
The sun is shining brightly so when the lady's have their Cappucino I roll up my trousers to take a sun-bath. Now its time for the Centre Pompidou, another museum with modern art. Oh I really love this one; we can take pictures and I get the chance to be part of the Art. I met the nicest people and they took me over to one of their co-workers; a very lovely white bear. She is working there for several years now and gives me a private tour around the museum. She shows me her favourite art-works and we have great fun together so we say goodbye with a big hug and promise to keep in touch.
We have coffee at Starbucks and I meet more bear-friends, how nice to be in such a big city, I can find bear-friends everywhere.

Again a look at the Eiffeltower, I am thrilled to be closer to it now. I have a nice walk by the Seine and understand why there are some many songs about this river.

The last day we end our visit with another famous church: the Notre Dame. This time I am well prepared since I have my own church guide with me. When I want my picture taken at the statue of Jeanne d'Arc we find that we are not allowed to flash so this picture is too dark to display, what a pity, no proof for my blund-bear-family. In a hurry we have to find our way back to the hotel to pick up the suitcases and go back home again. In the Thalys I have my reserved seat waiting for me and while reading a nice french book they take me home again to prepare for the next journey, which will bring me to Germany.
